Fundamental + Ten-41

I have consulted and traveled all over the world for the last 20 plus years and I have always been enamored not only by the luxurious wines of these world renowned regions but by the caliber of everyday drinking wines readily available. The value of these wines far surpassed the quality standards I had grown accustomed to back home. I spent a lot of time during my travels envisioning building a value wine brand of my own.

My love for the central coast combined with a passion to make high quality wines at a great value, led me to start this project. I knew I couldn't compete with the old world wines, but I had the California sun that produces some of the best grapes for winemaking in the world. I was determined to make some of the best California wine that anyone could drink, any day of the week.

My philosophy behind Tensley Wines has always been to provide the greatest quality wines without overcharging. This idea, that became Fundamental Wines, just took that one level further by making our wines even more accessible without the guilt. I set out to build Fundamental on the basis that the wine would be affordable while staying true to the style and quality of the original Tensley brand and my personal winemaking philosophy.
